Africa Network Webinar: The case for bottom-up peacebuilding

Geoff's work in Peace Studies began around 1990, when he was asked to coordinate an undergraduate programme in the discipline at the University of New England in Australia. At the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa,  he coordinated the postgraduate programme in Conflict Resolution & Peace Studies from 1999 until his retirement in 2011, when he was invited to establish the Peacebuilding Programme at Durban University of Technology.

His current research focusses on the relationship between economic inequality and inter-personal violence, the South African arms deal of 1999 and bottom-up peacebuilding.
